The property on which our inn is located has a history of its own. It was originally
platted in 1904 as a mining claim of one John E. Moberg, with improvements
consisting of "8 cuts, a shaft, and 2 tunnels." We do not know whether Mr Moberg
ever struck gold. The property was later known as the Lazy F Ranch, when in 1976, it
changed ownership and the current house was built as a private residence. This
house is the "cornerstone" of our bed and breakfast. We are sure that, like us, you
will be overcome by the peace and solitude of our "hideaway," as well as the
beautiful vistas, whatever time of the year you may visit.

Have you ever been somewhere that is so quiet that you actually find yourselves
whispering to each other? The Black Hills Hideaway is such a place. An ideal
vacation place where you can hide and be pampered after visiting crowded
attractions or simply relax and be pampered on that special getaway. Whatever
the season, whatever the reason, our hideaway in the hills is the perfect
destination. Our traditional Bed and Breakfast is situated on 67 acres of peace
and solitude, surrounded by the Black Hills National Forest.
